Training and RYA courses in association with Faro Sailing School:

Faro Sailing School is a fully recognised RYA Training Centre offering a full range of RYA/MCA practical and shorebased sailing courses. see www.farosailingschool.com.

Alex is a RYA cruising instructor, and will help you develop your sailing skills through Faro sailing school on the school boats and Chao Lay through the RYA training schemes.

Sailing in the Algarve and Andulucia

Bird watching on the Guadiana river, this is twitchers delight as Chao Lay glides on the river through stalk, heron, Flamingo etc

On holiday in the Algarve, come and try a day sail or a weekend cruise up the Guadiana river, with a night anchored off the enchanting villlages of Alcoutim and Sanlucar de Guadiana. Or using the moorings in the lower reaches for the bird watchers.

Hill walking – Nothing can beat the exhilaration felt when you are on top of the world!

Activities - Aquatic

Swimming - you can go ashore taking a tender or kayak or swim off the boat,

Snorkelling - swim to a reef for snorkelling.

Taking the Tender and going ashore, if you want to explore yourself for the day, just let us know and go. If you let us know the night before, a picnic lunch will be made up for you!

Catering

Sailing Holidays

Your holiday includes all breakfasts and lunches. Dinner on board being optional and charged at £15 per head per nights. This however is not set in stone and we can arrange what ever catering requirements you may have.

Soft drinks & ships local wine locker are included.

The boat will be fully provisioned when you arrive.

RYA Training and passaging making (by arrangement with Faro Sailing School)

This covers your accommodation for the week and use of Chao Lay.

Your holiday includes all breakfasts and lunches on board.

As active crew members in training all aspects of running the yacht are shared.

What else is included

A week onboard Chao Lay includes full crew, all your bed linen & towels*, safety equipment including harness & life jacket, snorkelling mask snorkels and fins, drinks, marina fees, diesel and sailing tuition.

Optional activities such as car hire, diving lessons, Mountain/Hill walking, camping, sightseeing trips and transfers to and from the Marina** can be arranged for an additional charge.

What is not!

We do not include flights and meals out in restaurants.
