There is also the option for those who wish to join the boat in Carriacou on Day 1 of the sailing itinerary by catching the ferry or flying across. This gives you the ability to explore Carriacou at leisure. Here are some examples of popular cruising itineraries:

Itinerary Option One:

Grenada > Carriacou > Union Island > Tobago Cays > Bequia > Mayreau > Grenada.

Itinerary Option Two:

Grenada > Carriacou > Petite Martinique > Petit St. Vincent > Tobago Cays > Union Island > Grenada.

Grenada

Grenada is known as the “Spice Island” because of the beautiful rainforests filled with fragrant spice and fruit trees. If you have a free day on the island we recommend taking an exciting island tour. Explore the exotic waterfalls, rainforest trails, spice plantations and chocolate or rum factories. Grenadians are renowned for being friendly and welcoming and will be happy to share their island and culture with you.

Carriacou

Grenada’s sister island is dominated by fishing, farming and seafaring. Carriacou is a very traditional island that you can explore by land or sea. There are plenty of anchorages for lunchtime and overnight stops, with some of the best restaurants in the Grenadines.

Petit St Vincent and Petite Martinique

Both lovely overnight or lunchtime stops before either sailing back to Union Island or continuing to sail south towards Grenada. The beauty never ends in the Grenadines and these idyllic islands won’t disappoint!

Union Island

Chatham Bay on the west coast is a large protected anchorage where locals arrange beach barbeques beneath swaying palm trees.

Tobago Cays

Tobago Cays is considered the most scenic anchorage in the Grenadines (and by some the whole Caribbean!) This National Marine Park has crystal clear shallow water, an abundance of marine life, and flourishing corals – making it a great location for snorkeling. You can even swim with endangered turtles in the Turtle Sanctuary. Local venders sell fresh fish and lobster which can be barbequed for you right on the beach; another option is to bring your own provisions and cook on board. The Tobago Cays were the filming location for scenes from the movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Tobago Cays is an ideal place to anchor, snorkel around the reefs and unwind for a couple of days.

Palm Island

Enjoy the leisurely short sail to Palm Island and then relax on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Windward Islands. Anchor off and take the dinghy ashore to one of the fantastic beach bars!

Mayreau

Roughly a one hour sail from Canouan, Union Island and the Tobago Cays. Salt Whistle Bay and Saline Bay are both shaded by palms and covered in pure white sand. An excellent evening or lunchtime stopover with the option of eating ashore. Both have fabulous snorkeling too!

Bequia

Admiralty Bay has a wonderfully lively atmosphere with a well-stocked fruit and vegetable market. The blowing of a conch shell announces fresh fish on the dock. Take an island tour to the turtle sanctuary, go hiking, or explore the local arts, crafts and museums on this traditional and quaint island. Laundry services, garbage disposal, water and ice are available. A favorite with many visitors!

Canouan

Canouan provides an ideal lunchtime stop where we anchor in shallow water, before sailing on towards Bequia. It has excellent walking trails and great views for photographers!

Mustique

Just a two hour sail from Bequia (or three hours from Canouan) this unique island is privately owned and has become developed with vacation homes for the rich and famous. Anchor in Brittania Bay and rent golf carts or bikes to explore the grounds of homes owned by Robbie Williams, David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Raquel Welsh!
